JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The licensed Architect is responsible for supporting the planning, design, development, and coordination of architectural projects from initial concept through construction. This position works collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders to develop functional, code-compliant, and constructible design solutions.

The Architect applies professional architectural principles, technical knowledge, sound judgment, and project coordination skills to assigned projects. Responsibilities may vary based on the employee’s level of experience, licensure, project complexity, and assigned role within the project team.

Essential Functions

The following duties are considered essential functions of the position.

  • Develop architectural concepts, plans, drawings, specifications, and other project documentation in accordance with project requirements.

  • Participate in projects from programming and conceptual design through design development, construction documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.

  • Coordinate architectural designs with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil, and other engineering disciplines.

  • Review project requirements, applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, zoning requirements, and other regulations affecting project design.

  • Prepare, review, and revise drawings and technical documents using applicable design and drafting software.

  • Communicate with clients to identify project needs, design requirements, schedules, and expectations.

  • Participate in client meetings, project meetings, design reviews, and internal coordination meetings.

  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, requests for information, and other construction-related documentation as assigned.

  • Assist with or perform site observations, field measurements, existing-condition assessments, and construction progress reviews.

  • Identify design or coordination concerns and work collaboratively with project team members to develop appropriate solutions.

  • Maintain project documentation and records in accordance with company practices.

  • Monitor assigned work for accuracy, completeness, code compliance, constructability, and consistency with project requirements.

  • Coordinate assigned work to support established project schedules, budgets, and deadlines.

  • Maintain professional and effective communication with clients, coworkers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Perform other duties that are related to the position and consistent with business needs.

Pay

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
